The Greater Moncton Aeromodelers club is pleased to announce their 2012 mega indoor funfly and swapshop event at the Moncton Coliseum. This is a huge 50,000 sq. ft. venue with two cavernous halls (one for planes, one for helicopters) that will safely accomodate many small indoor aircraft. We hope to repeat last year's very sucessful event! We will have two large exhibit halls - 50,000 sq. feet of flying space!! Swap shop tables to trade and sell R/C gear - included in your entrance fee. Indoor electric aircraft (foamies and smaller) will be flown in one hall, 450-size electric helicopters and smaller in the other. There may be an onsite food vendor as last year. There is also a Tim Hortons just down the street and many restaurants nearby. You are welcome to bring your own food if you like. We will provide a limited number of tables for the swap shop and pits, but it would be prudent to bring your own chairs and tables as well to ensure you are comfortable throughout the day. This is one event you won’t want to miss! It's sure to be a great time!! In the event of severe winter weather preventing travel in the greater Moncton area, the event will be cancelled and cannot be rescheduled. Otherwise, the event will proceed. The cost is $20 for particpants (pilots, buyers and sellers at swap shop), but spectators are free. Your admission helps us cover part of the rental cost for the facility.

Forest Lakeside Flyers invites all Turbine, Ducted Fan and EDF pilots to our Jets Feast Fun Fly in Forest (J4Fs). We are 45 minutes west of London on the 402. We have a 450' x 440' grass field with no obstructions, we are able to take-off and land into the wind at all time. To date we have had six different turbine powered jets fly here. I believe this will be a great "warm up event". The date is June 9th and 10th, 2012. June the 8th is open flying also if you wish to come early. Flying starts at 9:00 am until dark. The Rideau Valley Modelers in partnership with the Cornwall Aeromodelers invite all MAAC float fly enthusiasts to participate in the 4th Annual Zone Float Fly at the Barry Forbes Float Pond in Kemptville. The event will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, with a rain date of June 24th. Arrivals begin at 08:00 hours with pilot registration and aircraft certification to be complete in time for a pilot’s meeting at 09:00 to kick off a day of safe flying. This event will provide impound services for 72 mHz transmitters. Pilots’ fee will be $10.00 for registrations received prior to June 16th and $15.00 after that. The Kemptville float facility boasts 15 acres of water with airspace to easily accommodate aircraft up to ¼ scale along with adequate parking, comfort station and food services to support flyers and spectators alike. The Oakville/Milton Flying Club will be having its Annual Airshow in support of the Oakville Fareshare Food Bank on Father’s day, June 24th, 2012. Pilots MUST have MAAC card or other insurance verified, but all insured pilots are welcome, Indpendent flyers and club flyers. The SHUSWAP LAKE AERO MODELERS (SLAM) once again invite you to beautiful Shuswap Lake, BC for the 16th Annual SLAM FALL CLASSIC. The site is Sandy Point Resort 5 km. west of Salmon Arm, BC. The event is one of the largest float events in the Pacific Northwest and hosts 90-100 pilots each year, and there is always room for you!! The fee to dip your floats in the water & share all the fun is $15. 2012 Registration will begin Tuesday Sept 4th, and the event will continue for 6 days winding up about noon Sunday Sept 9th when awards and prizes will be presented. A retrieval boat is available all during the event as well as frequency control (where needed). Highlights include pilot’s draws, 50/50, raffle with great prizes, pie sale, corn roast, nite flying and more. There is a concession on-site.
