Upper Canada Fun Fly 2010
A MAAC Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to a most deserving Gerry Pronovost. MAAC's Bursary Award of $1500.00 was presented to Tyler Blackwell for him to further his studies in aviation and a Leader Membership went to Dave Hammond. Several thousand dollars were raised for the Shriner's Sick Children's Hospital Fund. The Shriners handled parking, registration and the banquet for us.
This event gets better every year. We escaped the forecast rain, but had to accept high winds that were at right angles to the runway on day two.
Denis Gratton, an expert on FPV (First Person Video) flying gave two excellent aerobatic demonstrations, flying from the cockpit. There was a TV set up for spectators to watch the cockpit view of the airfield.
