Safety Code Updated 2.4GHz Ok

Good Day Everyone,
The MAAC board of directors has approved amending the Safety code to include the operation of 2.4 GHz radio systems.
Industry Canada does allow the use of these radio systems in Canada. From the Radio Advisory Board of Canada in reference to the use of 2.4GHz, “It was agreed that hobbyist should find these bands useful and hobbyists should be reminded to ensure that items they use are certified by Industry Canada.” –RABC meeting on June 23rd , 2005.
The systems being sold in Canada do meet the Industry Canada regulations.
Specifically the motion passed was:
"The MAAC safety code be changed to include the operation of 2.4 GHz R/C systems when used in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and Industry Canada regulations."
The Board will be discussing other recommendations for change during the board meetings on March 17th and 18th. There will be further updates after the AGM.
