Zone A - Roaring Soaring - Introduction to Competition **ANNULÉ**

Roaring Soaring - Introduction to Competitive Thermal Duration Task Flying
September 18 or 19 2021 (the 19th is a contingency day due to weather)
Classes: < 100" and > 100" wingspan (hi-start, winch or e-power)
Tasks: 4-minute thermal duration with landing points
Location: MacNair Field - Didsbury Radio Control Fun Flyers Club

Participant Limit: 20 pilots

This event is meant to be an intro to competition thermal duration sailplane flying.

Participants will be allowed to launch within the two classes referenced either by hi-start, winch or e-power to altitude determined by the CD.

The task will be to fly a 4-minute (or as revised by the CD based on conditions) duration with 240 possible points available (4 x 60 seconds) for achieving duration and another 100 points for landing within a 10 meter circle.

This event is not meant to be a "strict" competition but rather an opportunity for participants to experience friendly competitive flying and introduce many to this sort of event.
