Zone L - Open air swap-meet
After a long and challenging two years of Covid, we would like to resume our annual swap meet this year, but with a twist that will help keep everyone safe while allowing RC enthusiasts to clean out their hangars and pick up some new goodies for the coming year. The change for this year will be that the swap meet will be outdoors and at our flying field.
Our club will try having a "boot sale" type of swap meet at our field instead of our usual indoor venture for 2022.
What is a "boot sale" you ask? In the United Kingdom, the trunk of your car is known as a "boot". In parking lots in the UK, when they have a boot sale, cars park in the lot, open their trunks and display whatever they want to sell. Some set up folding tables and display their wares that way.
ENTRY FEE: $5 For sellers AND buyers: The cost of entry will be $5 per person across the board, whether you are a person attending to buy, or a vendor bringing your car or light truck in to sell from your “boot” or tables (which you supply).
DATE/TIME: The event will start at 10am on May 14th, 2022, RAIN OR SHINE. Bring an umbrella, pop-up tent, tarp or whatever if rain is in the forecast.
There is no need to register in advance, just show up and enjoy the fun !!! Volunteer staff will be at the gate to direct you on arrival. If you plan on selling, you may want to arrive a few minutes early just to open your trunk or set up your table beside you “boot”.

Please note, our club field location recently changed and is now located at 7201 York Durham Line, Mount Albert, Ontario. That is at the corner of the York Durham Line and Vivian Sideroad. It is a large area set back from the road somewhat but there is a large gate there where our volunteers will be situated to direct you.
